An idea of the sculptor Ivan Rusev since the 1990s has become a reality and continues to develop to this day. In 1998, a group of like-minded people and friends supported the idea and founded the Ilindentsi Art Center Foundation. Thus, on an area of more than 30 acres, in a unique natural environment with extremely impressive natural views near the village of Ilindentsi, Strumyani Municipality, the foundation began the construction of a sculpture park unique in its character and scale.
